Services & Procedures
BREAST AUGMENTATION
Women who want to achieve a fuller, shapelier breast may consider a breast augmentation. A silicone or saline implant will be carefully selected and inserted underneath the breast tissue to reveal optimal, natural results. Dr. Medina will help guide you through the process of selecting the size, shape and material of the implant that is best suited for your ideal outcome.
BREAST REDUCTION
Overly large, heavy breasts can cause a number of cosmetic and health issues. From feeling uncomfortable in your clothing to having severe back and neck pains, it’s an issue that can impact the quality of your daily life in multiple ways. This procedure allows breasts to look more proportionate with your body, alleviates discomfort that accompanies heavier breasts, and can reawaken your confidence.
MASTOPEXY (BREAST LIFT)
Breasts naturally change in shape and volume as we go through different phases of life. Factors like aging, losing weight, or giving birth can all play a role. A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, trims away any excess fat or skin tissues and repositions the areolas and breasts to reveal a rejuvenated, perky, and more youthful appearance.
An auto-augmentation breast lift utilizes the same lifting techniques as a traditional breast lift with the added benefit of repurposing any excess tissue to add volume to the breasts. Fat grafting, also called fat transfer, can also be performed to add an additional 100-150cc of volume on top of the auto-augmented breast.
BREAST IMPLANT REMOVAL
There are a wide variety of reasons why one may choose to have breast implants removed. Whether you’re dealing with discomfort, deflation, heaviness, or any other concern, Dr. Medina will guide you through the process of breast implant removal surgery. Often, a second procedure such as a traditional breast lift or auto-augmentation mastopexy may be advised to address any loose or excess skin left behind.
BREAST IMPLANT EXCHANGE
Breast Implant Exchanges are ideal for patients whose current implants have run their course and need to be replaced. Patients also may opt for an exchange if they desire a change in shape, texture, or the current implants are compromised in some way. Dr. Medina will carefully examine each patient and help determine what path forward is best.
BREAST IMPLANT CAPSULE REMOVAL
As with all procedures, there are some risks and possible side effects to breast implants. One such possibility some patients may experience is called Capsular Contracture – where scar tissue forms a “capsule” around the implant and tightens the surrounding area. Some symptoms of this may include pain, asymmetry, and tightness in the chest. If this occurs, Dr. Medina is expertly skilled in capsule removal. Another implant can be inserted that is wrapped in collagen to help provide more protection and a plump, natural appearance.
FAT GRAFTING TO THE BREAST
A more natural approach to enhancing your curves is fat grafting. If you want fuller, more voluptuous breasts with a more natural look and feel, fat transfer is a great option. Dr. Medina will harvest excess fat from another area of your body, such as your abdomen, love handles or thighs, and strategically transfer it to your breast to achieve your desired goals.
LIPOSUCTION LATERAL CHEST
Do you struggle with stubborn fat around your bra line? Liposuction to the lateral chest targets these bulges and can help reveal a smoother, more contoured look under your clothes, allowing you to feel more confident in your own skin.
GYNECOMASTIA SURGERY
Enlarged breast tissue in males can often be a point of self-consciousness, but this may very well be a medical issue called gynecomastia. Male patients who have excessive glandular tissue, localized chest fat, or can feel a firm lump under the nipple area may have this condition. Dr. Medina will evaluate and determine if male breast reduction surgery is the best path forward for you.
